The Ventilair Mistral is a single-room heat recovery ventilator engineered to provide balanced ventilation with minimal energy loss. Designed for decentralized installation, it operates independently in each room, making it particularly suitable for apartments, retrofit projects, and spaces where centralized ducted systems are impractical.
At the heart of the system is a regenerative ceramic heat exchanger, which alternates airflow direction approximately every 75 seconds. During extraction, warm indoor air passes through the ceramic core, storing thermal energy. When the airflow reverses, incoming fresh air absorbs this stored heat before entering the room. This process enables heat recovery of up to 97%, helping maintain indoor comfort while reducing heating demand.
Ventilair Mistral offers multiple operating modes, including regeneration, supply, exhaust, and combined intake and exhaust, allowing ventilation behaviour to be tailored to room conditions. Airflow can be set to 20, 40, or 60 m³/h, making it suitable for gentle background ventilation or higher demand when required.
A built-in humidity sensor allows the unit to respond automatically to rising moisture levels. When humidity exceeds the user-defined threshold, the system can temporarily switch to exhaust mode to reduce indoor moisture before returning to its previous operation. This makes Mistral particularly effective in occupied rooms where humidity fluctuates during everyday use.
Despite its performance, Mistral is designed for exceptionally quiet operation, with sound pressure levels as low as 18.9 dB(A) at low speed and 28.7 dB(A) at maximum airflow. This makes it suitable for continuous use in bedrooms, studies, and other noise-sensitive spaces.
Control is available via WiFi app, enabling adjustment of fan speed, operating mode, scheduling, humidity settings, and filter alerts from a smartphone. The wireless pairing function allows two or more units to work together in leader/follower configuration, balancing supply and extract airflow across multiple rooms without additional wiring.
With a compact, minimalist design and IPX2 water resistance, the Ventilair Mistral integrates neatly into modern interiors while supporting reliable long-term operation.
