Pax Passad 31, with backdraught shutter*, is installed in ducts that do not have a natural draught (external wall).

Used primarily as reinforcement for ventilation in homes with another existing system for basic ventilation, e.g. mechanical exhaust ventilation (but via own duct). The fan starts via adjustable presence sensor, or when the moisture level exceeds the set value. * NB: A backdraught shutter is immediately harmful if the fan is installed in a ventilation duct with natural draught (for example in ceilings).
